Community Involvement

Committed to Giving Back.

GLJ upholds a reputation for generous and meaningful community support. Since inception, the management and staff have been active in community events, ranging from charitable activities, professional organization involvement and community building.

A Culture of Employee Participation

The people of GLJ are often active volunteers and advocates of many associated professional groups which impact the industry. The Petroleum Society of the Canadian Institute of Mining, Metallurgy and Petroleum (CIM), the Society of Petroleum Evaluation Engineers (SPEE), the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE), APEGGA, and the Canadian Society of Petroleum Geologists (CSPG) all benefit from the professional spirit of GLJ personnel.

GLJ employees are often found personally canvassing or volunteering for charitable organizations annually under the banner of GLJ. Some of the events and organizations we support include the Calgary Corporate Challenge, annual United Way Campaign and Habitat for Humanity.

Making an Impact in our Communities

GLJ is committed to making a positive contribution to the community it works in. In this regard, GLJ annually donates greater than one percent of gross revenues to various local charitable organizations. Over fifty individual organizations, including medical groups, social aid agencies, amateur sports organizations and professional groups, receive support from GLJ.
